The Green Monster

I mentioned this smoothie to someone in a comment earlier and it made me want one!

The Green Monster Smoothie

  • 1 small banana (if you use frozen banana, you'll need less ice)
  • 1 Tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup fat-free vanilla greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • As much spinach and you can/want to pack in there (I used about 3 cups)
  • Ice as needed

  1. Looks delicious! Back when I was on my green smoothie kick (I still have forlorn spinach cubes in the freezer waiting to met my bellah), I used to add frozen blueberries for an extra antioxidant boost. I don't know if the seeds would be an issue for you though :/

  3. Yum! Hey, here is a link that explains pb2...hoping to buy some this weekend, I forgot to see if my grocery/health food aisle had it this week or if I have to go to GNC. Seems perfect for smoothies though. I usually love chocolate, but I haven't found a way I really like the chocolate unjury yet, so I'm hoping pb2/almond milk, will do it! http://www4.netrition.com/bell_plantation_pb2.html

    1. Chelle, I can't taste the spinach AT ALL. All I taste is peanut butter banana. They are delicious and quite filling. Let me know if you try it!
